So. I am here in Banaue right now and, well, I'm beat and washed over, but... I'm having a blast! The reason for the beat and washed over part is all the hiking I've been doing here. I hike to go see the rice terraces and then I hike to get to an Ifugao village. I can't even begin to imagine how the natives go up and down while carrying 200lbs. worth of supplies!
But anyway, I have so much to talk about and the time is ticking on the Internet Cafe clock so this'll be brief. I did start an outline, so sooner or later, there will be detailed accounts of my stay here. The best part is that I took hella pictures - just today I used up eight rolls of 120 film! Sheesh, I just love my Mamiya.
Hey - whenever you're on a trip, bring a camera; it makes you pay attention to your surroundings and it teaches you to appreciate the wonders that we have on this world. Okay, cheesy, but it's true. The Mamiya was heavy as hell, but it was so worth carrying that mammoth on my back the whole time.
To end on a screeching note, saying excuse me doesn't hurt at all. Especially when you bump into someone :)
Bah, but we don't want that sour note! Okay, a sad note then. I miss everybody already!!!
